How our Waiting List works
Introduction
Our Scout Group is extremely popular and has a large Waiting List. Details of the current waiting times will be available to you after joining the list.
When can I add my child to the Waiting List?
You may add your child to our Waiting List at any time.
When can my child join a section?
The minimum ages for joining a section are:
Beavers 6 years
Cubs 8 years
Scouts 10.5 years
When will my child be considered for a place in a section?
Children who are the minimum age for a section will automatically be considered for a place on a first come first serve basis at the minimum age e.g. children added to the Waiting List before the minimum age will not automatically receive the next available place and must wait their turn.
What happens when places become available?
When places become available you will be contacted by the relevant Section Leader.
Moving up
Members of an existing section within our Scout Group will automatically join the top of the waiting list for the next section.
Rejoining
Anyone who has left the Scout Group or is removed from the Waiting List must rejoin from the beginning and will not resume their previous place.
Joining from another Scout Group
We prioritise non-members over members of other Scout Groups unless there are exceptional circumstances including but not limited to; already having a sibling attending our Scout Group or a recent change of address.
Priority Access
Our Group prioritises the children of our volunteers. If you want to volunteer with us please see the volunteering page here.

- 25th Sheffield (Ecclesfield) - S5 9AP
- 105th Sheffield (High Green) - S35 3HY
- 14th Sheffield (Grenoside) - S35 8QS
